At Live Oak Sports Complex we strive to serve our community. Below you’ll find a list of frequently asked questions along with the corresponding answers. Does LOSC hire teenagers?

LOSC employs teenagers (14+)  on a part-time and seasonal basis to work in the concession stands at the ballpark. Your teen must have a work permit to be considered for employment. You may email losc@lprd2.com to request a signed LA Application to Employ Minors and further instructions on obtaining a work permit.

Are there batting cages at the ballpark?

There are three batting cages on the property. They are free to use and available on a first come, first serve basis.

How do I sign up my child for football or cheerleading?

The football and cheerleading programs are run by LOYFA. Their website is www.loeaglesyf.com.

Do you allow motorhomes to park in your lot during the tournaments?

Yes. LOSC does allow campers and motorhomes to park in the lot for tournaments. We do NOT have hookups for electricity or sewer. We ask that you park parallel with the trees in the back parking lot.

Does your ballpark have covered seating at the baseball fields?

7 of the 10 baseball fields have covered seating. All turf fields have covered seating.

Do you offer refunds for sports registrations?

LOSC will refund your registration fee prior to the season or during the season if your child suffers an injury or experiences a medical condition and is no longer able to play. LOSC will only provide a refund for any other reason if the request is made prior to the end of late registration.

Can I make a special request for team placement (e.g. coach request, friends, carpool, etc.)

You may submit your request to losc@lprd2.com for consideration. We do not make any guarantees about team placement, and we cannot accommodate every request.

Does my son need a certain kind of bat for baseball?

LOSC does not require a specific type of bat for ages 12 and under. For ages 13 and up, your child will need a ‘Drop 5’ bat.

Does LOSC provide pants for baseball and softball?

No. Parents must purchase pants for their children. The color of the pants is chosen by the coach.

Where are the practices and games for youth sports?

Baseball- LOSC ballpark
Softball- LOSC ballpark
Soccer- LOSC ballpark
Basketball- Live Oak Middle School and Denham Springs High School

When are practices and games for youth sports?

Baseball – Practices (2x/week) and games are during the week, M-F
Softball – Practices (2x/week) and games are during the week, M-F
Soccer – Practices (1-2x/week) are during the week. Games are on Saturdays.
Basketball- Practices (1-2x/week) are during the week. Games are on Saturdays.

What equipment does my child need for baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball?

Baseball- glove, bat, helmet, tennis shoes/cleats
Softball- glove, bat, helmet, tennis shoes/cleats
Soccer- shin guards, tennis shoes/cleats
Basketball- tennis shoes
